David Psutka is a Toronto-based musician, producer and performer. In addition to multiple projects, he also runs the Halocline Trance label.
Active since 2009, Psutka has released music on various labels including Monkeytown (GER), Night Slugs
(UK) and Last Gang Records (Canada). In 2015 Psutka launched Halocline Trance as a home for his various sound projects, events and collaborations.
As a producer he has worked with a variety of artists such as Junior Boys, Jessy Lanza and Bestial Mouths.
Stylistically, Psutka embraces textural sound, non-musical ideas and expressions of formlessness in much of his work.

+ Who are you?

+ What's your current job?
I currently work as a full time musician, producer and I run the Halocline Trance record label.
+ What do you specialise in?
I am specialising in experimental music, but I also have experience working with [genre1], [genre2] and [genre3]. My music was featured multiple times on BBC, Resident Advisor, Pitchfork, The Fader, Red Bull Music Academy, Beatport, Exclaim, Fact Mag, XLR8R and more. I am also hosting a monthly show on NTS Radio.
+ What's your experience?
I’ve been on a world tour multiple times and performed at Sonar, Roskilde Festival, Mutek, CTM Festival and more. I’ve been performing as a main and support act and I got to travel with many different character types.
+ What can you share your experience on? What can you help with?
I specialise in composition, songwriting, engineering and recording. Besides that my career taught me life on tour and working with different people. Because I run my own record label I also gained expertise in this area.
